ABOUT THE PROJECT

 

The task was to design a brochure which would be used as a design template to create other marketing materials including emails, fliers, PowerPoint presentations and landing pages. The goal was to create something compelling and aesthetically beautiful, while maintaining the Amazon brand and to stop using screenshots for images. The look needed to be flexible for a variety of digital and printed materials, and appeal to a merchant audience to improve product visibility and sign up rates.

 

THE SOLUTION

 

My role included creating the initial design concepts and then re-purposing it for the various print and digital templates.

 

I researched various successful ecommerce sites such as Levis.com, Nike.com and Anthropologie.com for inspiration. Using images from various Webstore merchants, I used a grid system to develop the design. The background pattern is derived from a textile. I felt it gave it a more interesting, less technical feel. The resulting design has a fresh, youthful lifestyle appeal which appealed to a broader target audience and was more flexible to use in all marketing materials.
